Why drivers switch

The app tells you where to go. Our contract tells you what you'll earn.

Ride-hailing apps are a queue. You wait, you hope, you refresh. RideOut flips that model: the work is booked before your shift starts.

The app model

Hunt every night

  • ×Refresh the driver app at 11pm and hope a trip lands nearby.
  • ×20–30% of every fare skimmed as platform commission.
  • ×Drive 15 minutes to a pickup for a 4km trip. Unpaid mileage.
  • ×Income swings weekly — good night, bad night, rainy night.
  • ×Ratings and acceptance scores you can't fully control.
The RideOut contract

Know the whole month on Monday

  • Fixed pickup point, fixed shift window, same venue all month.
  • Zero commission on the contracted rate. What's quoted is what you keep.
  • Pickups scheduled around your location — no dead mileage.
  • Predictable weekly payout via PayNow, every Monday.
  • No star-rating wars. Just show up on time, drop safely, renew.
What you get

A real contract, not a gig queue.

Every RideOut route is a signed, time-bound agreement between you and us. Here's what that means for your week.

$

Guaranteed minimum

Your contract names a minimum monthly payout. If the venue books fewer trips than forecast, we still pay the minimum — that's on us, not you.

Paid even on quiet nights

Set hours, every week

Your shift is on the contract — typically 10.30pm to 3am, Tuesday through Saturday. Plan your day around it. Sleep on a schedule again.

No midnight scrolling

Same team, same route

You drive the same venue's crew home every night. They learn your name, you learn the fastest way to Yishun at 2am. Tips increase. So does retention.

Relationship over volume

Weekly PayNow payout

Every Monday morning. No 7-day hold, no commission reconciliation, no "pending" balance. One transfer, itemised by trip for your records.

Monday, cleared

Backup pool support

Flat tyre? Sick kid? You call our dispatcher, a backup driver from the same zone covers the shift. You don't lose the contract and the venue doesn't lose the ride.

Shift flexibility

Renewable by default

3-, 6-, and 12-month contracts that auto-extend if both sides are happy. Most of our pilot drivers are on their third renewal. Compounding trust pays.

Long-term by design
The process

Step 02

Verify

Upload your PDVL, IC, and vehicle log card. We verify within 48 hours. Coffee meeting with the dispatcher — 30 minutes, over the counter.

Step 03

Step 04

Drive

First shift usually within 5 days of signing. Arrive at pickup, take the crew home, submit your trip log. Paid the following Monday.

What you need

The bar is not high, but it's clear.

Before you apply

Questions drivers always ask.

Can I keep driving Grab / Gojek during the day?+
Yes — most of our drivers do. The RideOut contract is for a specific late-night shift window (typically 10.30pm–3.30am). What you do with the rest of your day is entirely up to you. Some drivers use the contract as a stable floor and run app trips during peak hours on top.
What if no one needs a ride that night?+
You get paid anyway. Every contract includes a monthly minimum payout. If the venue books fewer trips than forecast, you still receive the minimum — because you showed up and reserved the night for us. That's the whole point of a contract.
How much can I realistically earn?+
Most 5-night routes pay out between S$2,400 and S$3,100 per month, net of the platform fee built into the flat rate. That's for roughly 18–20 hours of actual driving per week. Longer routes, multi-venue routes, and 7-night contracts can go higher.
Do I pay a commission?+
No. The rate quoted on the contract is the rate you receive. RideOut charges the venue a separate booking fee — that's not deducted from your payout. The only cost on your side is standard vehicle operating costs (fuel, wear), which you'd have regardless.
What if I can't drive one night?+
Call our dispatcher at least 3 hours before shift start. We activate a backup driver from the same zone. The venue never feels the disruption, and you don't lose your contract. We allow up to 2 unplanned absences per month — beyond that we'd want to chat.
When do contracts renew, and can I get out early?+
Contracts auto-renew for the same term unless either side opts out with 30 days' notice. If you need to exit early due to personal reasons (medical, family, relocating), we waive the notice period. We'd rather you leave clean than drive tired or unhappy.
Who pays for fuel, ERP, and parking?+
Standard operating costs (fuel, ERP, wear-and-tear) are built into the flat rate — which is why our per-trip rate is higher than a typical Grab fare for the same distance. Late-night ERP is rare anyway. Any unusual parking (e.g. wedding venue) is reimbursed with a photo of the receipt.
