The hidden tax on late-night F&B

Getting your team home is the most expensive part of the night.

Consumer ride-hailing apps were built for tourists, not 10-person kitchen crews closing at 3am. The math works against you every single shift.

01

Surge pricing, every night

Fares routinely hit 2-3× standard rates after midnight. Transport costs become impossible to forecast, let alone budget against.

Up to 3× standard rates at 2–4am
02

The 3am supply crunch

When apps run short of drivers, they route supply to high-value tourist trips. Your staff waits 20–45 minutes in empty alleys, alone.

Avg. 30 min wait on weekends
03

Monday-morning admin

Hundreds of individual Grab receipts. Manual reimbursements. Finance reconciliation. Hours of your HR lead's week, every week.

How it works

Four steps from chaos to predictable.

No app to learn. No booking fire-drills at 2:58am. You send the schedule once — we handle the rest, every night.

Step 01

Plan

Share a sample week's staff schedule — names, postcodes, shift-end times. A 10-minute WhatsApp message.

Step 02

Optimise

Our routing engine clusters staff by geography and maximises vehicle occupancy. Every employee home within the hour.

Step 03

Ride

Vetted drivers arrive at your pre-booked pickup time and wait 10 minutes. Live tracking for every trip.

Step 04

Report

One consolidated invoice every Monday. No Grab receipts, no reimbursements, no manual claims.

Live pilot

Proof, not promises.

We ran the first 90 days of RideOut with The Public House on Circular Road. Here's what actually happened.

Case Study · The Public House

A bar that stays open until 3am, in a city where trains stop at midnight.

Before RideOut, late-shift staff were either waiting 30+ minutes for a Grab or expensing individual taxi receipts the manager would process every Monday. We replaced that with a single contracted route.

A customised solution at a significantly lower price point than ad-hoc booking. It quietly became part of the close-down routine.

Before you ask

Questions your finance lead will have.

Do I have to pay per trip, or daily?+
Neither. We consolidate everything into a single weekly or monthly invoice, itemised by trip and employee. Your finance team gets one PDF instead of hundreds of receipts.
What if a driver calls in sick?+
Every contract includes a backup driver pool. If a primary driver is unavailable, we automatically activate a standby from the same zone. You never hear about it — the ride just happens.
Is there a minimum contract length?+
Contracts typically run 3-12 months. This is what allows drivers to offer you a fixed rate — they get guaranteed income, and we pass the savings to you. Shorter trials are available for pilot weeks.
What happens if an employee needs to go somewhere else that night?+
Managers can set a one-time destination override for a specific employee on a specific night. Our system checks if it still fits the optimised route — if yes, we auto-adjust. If not, we create a separate trip with your approval.
Are your drivers licensed?+
Yes. All RideOut drivers hold valid Private Hire Vocational Licenses (PDVL) and operate licensed vehicles. We verify credentials at onboarding and monitor compliance throughout the contract.
How do you price?+
Flat rate per vehicle per trip — typically $45–$70 depending on route complexity and drop-off count. No surge, no weather pricing, no surprises. You know your transport cost before the month begins.
